Probably wrong place but I don't know where to ask.

I am selling my Nexus 6P for $270.00 on Swappa. How as a seller can I be protected?

i have sold a few things on swappa, u are basically protected by paypal. swappa doesnt do much. i had an issue once as a buyer and they refunded me my $10 sale fee and told me to contact paypal.

I'm just worried I send my item. Person said it wasn't in the box or something and then they take the money back plus I don't have the phone to sell anymore.

I've bought and sold a couple phones on Swappa with no issues. You are always at risk of ending up with a dishonest buyer, no matter what forum you use to sell. Just take as many pictures as possible and keep documentation. I have pretty strong ebay and Amazon accounts (seller reviews), but I still prefer Swappa for selling phones.

that was the issue when i returned a phone i bought on swappa. the guy said he didnt receive the phone, paypal used the USPS tracking number, and said it is delivered and refunded me my money. but like the other poster, document and u shud be fine.

Ive been burned by PayPal myself. I used to by and sell 3 and 4000 dollar watches using PayPal. They burned me once and I was out money. Western Union is another form of payment. It doesnt protect the buyer but if you can get them to use it you will not risk loosing your money by a dishonest buyer. Also in selling online forums it's about reputation too. Make the buyer call you and speak by phone. I do this on Craigslist. That way I can get a feel with who I am dealing with. Heck I sold a phone once and was paid with counterfeit money. It looked and felt real until I tried to spend it and they put a market on it and I lost 500 dollars and my phone.
