Selling ipad replace with droid

Selling ipad 1and wanting to get android tablet. I have a kindle fire already. Is that basically a full droid tablet? Want tablet with sd card slot. Recommendations?

If you can, get a WiFi Xoom. It gets updates right from Google. It has a SD card slot as well. Also the kindle just uses the os and puts its skin on it. Its not really a android tablet. Stock I don't believe you have access to the play store, just the amazon app store. A WiFi Xoom you should be able to get for under 300 though.
