Send a picture with Message+

I use Message+ for SMS with my Moto Z Force. I want to attach a photo that's stored on Google Drive. However, when I click the attachment button (+), my only options are to attach files from Gallery, Places, eGifts, Yahoo Search, Glympse, or Collage. Clicking the More button dosn't help. It seems that I can't even download a Google Drive file to a location from which I can attach it to an SMS. Is there a way to do what I'd like?

Tap Gallery
Tap Apps
Tap Documents
Tap 3 bar menu
Tap My Drive
Navigate to the file you want to attach
