I have had a Note 3 for a little over a year and it is just to big for me plus I hardly use the S-Pen. So I did a early upgrade to Verizon edge, I went to bestbuy to do this.

I mentioned to the BB employee that the cheap silver plastic on the phone is scuffed and their is a super small crack on the phone screen. She just said it looked fine and tell Verizon the cracked must have happened during shipping. I read something like if you don't send the phone in or if it's damaged you will have to pay $200.

What do you think they would say about the shipping story? Also if they are really going to charge me $200 for sending a decent phone in if rather just keep it and pay the $200!!! That way I'd have a backup phone and could still use it with wifi for [redacted] and whatnot.

Your feedback is greatly appreciated.

Once the Phone is out of your hands I don't think it will be a problem...If they are going to note the phone as clean and undamaged at time of return, then it is their problem. I would just make sure that they don't write the phone was damaged at time of return, if that's how they wan to get your business it's not your problem.

Well I have to send the phone in. So I don't know if they are going to note it as good condition or bad condition. I'm just worried I'm going to send it in and then they say to damaged and charge me the fee when I could have kept it and payed the fee. Anyone with experience please chime in!

Re: Verizon Edge sending back old Phone?

Buy it straight from Verizon corporate store . They should take the phone back at the same time, so no need to worry about a potential future charge

Yea I probably should have done that... I already got it tho.

It is a risk then. If you have insurance, you can have it replaced before sending it in

My insurance deductible is $200 so if they are going to charge me that, I'd rather not go through the trouble. I'd just hate to send the phone in and get charged $200 when I could just keep it for a second phone.
