Thanks, is the GB rom safe to use yet?

At this point, it's probably as safe as loading any other custom ROM. Looks like it probably wasn't the radio that was causing the bricks that occurred.

I'm running das BAMF preview 4 and it has a bunch of the Sense 3.0 features like the lockscreen and the homescreen carousel. Pretty nice.

I agee with NotJustAPhone. It's pretty safe. I've been using Gingerbread on mine for a couple of weeks now. Right now, I'm on DasBAMF 2.0-6 (was on Sense 3.0, but for some reason I had a lot of issues with it draining my battery so quickly, YMMV). I've also heard good things about Gingersense, if you get the chance to check it out.
