Sense clock auto-update?

On the flip clock Sense clock/weather widget, is there any way to make it update the time all the time? It only updates when you unlock the screen. This is really annoying. Beautiful updates all the time as well as WFClock Widget but the Sense flip clock doesn't.

No, that's just how it operates. I assume it's to conserve battery life.

Why do you care what time it says if you can't even see it when it is locked? Does that 1/2 a second where it is wrong annoy you that much?
