Ok, ok... I'm about to throw this phone out the window. One simple question, if I root my phone will it stop all this crazy rebooting? Sense is too the point where it reboots after EVERYTHING I do. I can't take it anymore. If anyone has any ideas please help... I love sense but I love a working phone more. Advice?

Yeah, it's a memory issue. Uninstall some of your more memory hungry apps, (or several smaller ones, or move all of them that you can to the SD card) and you should be ok. I was also using ADWLauncher for a while, and that pretty much stopped the reboots. You can get pretty much everything that Sense does from the App market as well, if you really want the look and feel of it.

I will say that since the latest update, the reboots have practically gone away. I had a couple happen over this past weekend, and I'm pretty sure it was because of the weather app I downloaded. I uninstalled it, and voila, they went away again.

Thanks for all your suggestions.... I use History Erasure to clean cache daily and as far as I can tell no memory hogging apps are loaded. Just your typical Angry Birds, Greedy spiders, Frogger ... All of which get moved to sd card. As a matter of fact when I download a game that doesn't push to sd I uninstall. Now other apps like Weather bug for example could this be an issue? Which weather app did you uninstall Ha Chickee Pitah? I guess I could try a new launcher but that will get rid of Sense right? And rooting... Is that even an option now that I have Gingerbread? Oh, and my fast boot has been unchecked since I first installed gingerbread. So that is not an issue. Factory reset did not help at all. A couple days later it was rebooting again.

Hmm, while I no longer have my EVO 4G, I didn't experience reboots like you're describing. You've pretty much confirmed that whatever is causing your reboots is something you've installed, since you said the behavior reappeared a few days after your factory reset (presumably after you re-installed all your apps).

I would remove any apps that do background "housekeeping" (like History Eraser), any task-killers, etc. Then see if you still get random reboots. I say that because sometimes those background housekeeping apps get a little overzealous and clear caches that might be in use at the time (That will cause a reboot when Sense goes to use the cache expecting something to be there.)

Android (especially 2.2 and above) is very good at managing its own memory. Storage space, on the other hand, can be a problem. So moving apps to SD card is of course the way to mitigate that shortcoming, but be sure to do it smartly. Apps that use widgets shouldn't be moved to SD; nor should apps that do housekeeping or interact closely with core system functions. You never know how some of them might act if they're not in main storage.

Bottom line is you're going to have to be systematic and troubleshoot this one app at a time until you find the culprit.

The weather app I uninstalled was accuvue weather or something like that. It seemed like it used a lot of memory. I don't know about weatherbug, I've never used it. I've decided to just live with the sense weather widget.

If you start using a new launcher (I was using ADWLauncher (free)), you will lose sense. But, most of the look and feel you get from Sense can be recreated with apps from teh app store. Good luck!
