It seems my proximity sensor is acting up and my screen won't turn on while in a call...? Done a hard reset and stuff. Can't get it to work! Any solutions?

Do have a screen protector on it? Maybe it's getting cloudy or something. If you do, you can try removing it, clean the glass and test it. If it's still no workie then it's likely a hardware issue and you'll need to take it in.

That's odd. A factory reset should have done the same thing essentially. Anyhoo, glad you got it working without taking it to BB. They would have just sent it in and given you a loaner anyways.

Rooting fixed all the problems I have ever had. If why I even waited. Oh well. Phone is faster. Better battery life. And Better reception. Thanks to garwynn for the info.

My proximity sensor problem was caused by the OtterBox Defender case. Took it off, all sensors worked great, put it back on and sensor problem resumed. The case has a tall ridge above the sensors. This must affect those sensors.
