Is this thing worth keeping on? It looks terrible. Mine isn't even straight.

I don't see what good keeping it on does. I took it off the second the phone came out of the box.

Don't throw it out though; I placed it in the box just in case I need to refer back to it in the future.

I did the exact same thing... Then another person here pointed out that the box already has the numbers printed on it.

I belive the Serial Number is also under "About" in the Settings on the phone itself.

Your Box should have the same ID # but save it, if you root/unlock your boot loader you will need the imeid, the one in about phone does not provide the last digit which is critical ...
