Just went and got a gear 2 last night. Took phone and watch off charger at 8 this morning. The battery on the note 4 has been daring very fast throughout the at. As of 930 tonight it was down to 5%, and I hardley used the phone today. Android system has used 35% of battery while google play services have used 17%. The only new apps I have installed was the gear manager, which has used next to nothing according gsam. Has any one else seen this type of drain after setting up a gear2? Prior to using the watch, I would have no trouble making through a day with approx. 3 hrs screen on time, but only 35 min. of screen time today. So far i'm liking the watch, but if I am unable to figure this one out I guess i'll have no choice but to return it.

i'm using gear fit for mine and i don't have the same experience. i know mine is different but pretty much the same idea and uses bluetooth as well. Are you getting a lot of notifications on your gear 2? check to make sure you have everything updated on your gear 2.

not a lot of notifications, and yes everything is up to date. After having some time to dig a bit deeper, I was able to trace it back to a rouge watch face that was constantly using the gps. In the notification bar on the phone the "searching for location" was constantly flickering on and off and just wouldn't stop. At first I thought it just may have been something strange within gear manager but it doesn't seem to be. So far it seems to be better, i'll get a better idea tomorrow after a full recharge tonight.
