Serious issues

SO last night my nexxus 4 started acting all weird and would not come out of locked screen, it would start blinking and flashing then camera would just come one. If I locked my phoned, with the button, then i could unlock it, but once it locked again I would have to repeat that.. Now today all of a sudden my 3 buttons on the button (back, home screen and mutliple screen) do not work. So if I go into an app or text message I am stuck there.. I have to reboot my phone but that only takes me to main screen, if i go into anything else, I am stuck there again. Is this maybe a battery issue because I only get about 5-6 hrs out of a full battery charge. PLEASE HELP

Welcome to Android Central! The first thing I'd try is to boot into Recovery Mode and wipe the cache partition, which won't erase any personal data: Reset: Google Nexus 4 | T-Mobile Support
