Seriously Google? Top 30% ?

I just got another of these notifications.

In the entire time that I have been using Android phones, I don't believe that I have submitted more that a half dozen reviews of any type and yet I am in the top 30% of "American restaurant reviewers"?

Is this just BS, or are there really that few people posting reviews? And, if the latter, why would Google go out of their way to highlight this miserable statistic?

There are around 150,000 people living in my area, most places on Google have a few dozen reviews at most. I've always just assumed the vast majority of people never leave a review anywhere they go.

Yeah, I think there aren't that many reviewers on Google. They all flock to Yelp. I've been ramping up my reviews on Google, so I'm somewhere in the top 10% or something.
