Service unavailable (RESOLVED)

I recently got a replacement from verizon CLNR it came with android 4.1.2 version I535VRBMB1 now I am hearing about software updates and when I try and update it tells me "service unavailable" is this normal ????? seems like I should be able to get the lataest update now if everything is fixed. Thanks in advance

I was getting this message until I activated it. I was using another 4g phone and was getting service unavailable until I put the sim card in it.

Have you contacted verizon? How is reception normally? It might not be able to see the cell tower.

everything seems to work well I have been on wi-fi when I try and update. I have read some posts from last year where this happened and a lot of folks changed sim cards to fix it ....?

A new SIM card may well be the answer. You could also try with your mobile data enabled and WiFi turned off.

FYI -- I rec'd a "CLNR" when the last "fiasco" update "jacked up" my phone. I had no problem getting the current update on the "CLNR" and it works great.

OK I got it fixed ..... probably an isolated incident. as posted before new sim card didn't work. factory reset did.......... sorta a pain to have to go through all this BS because of a "jacked up update" fixin" to leave the BIG RED ............
