Set Alarm Sound As Notification Sound

Hello,

Looking to buy a basic android phone for the sole purpose of acting as a alarm for my Vodaphone Curve Tracker. Unfortunately on my current phone the notification when the tracker leaves a predetermined area is just a normal notification, which is not enough to wake me (the tracker is used for a van). So looking to set up a Android phone that, when this notification comes through, will use the sound of a alarm as the notification sound. Is this something which is possible on Android? Has anyone tried this themselves?

Welcome to Android Central! Go to Settings>Apps, select the tracker app, then Notifications, and see if it lets you choose a custom notification tone. If it does, then you can use any sound file you want (either downloaded from the web or ripped from a CD) and move that to the /Notifications directory. It will then be available to select as a notification tone.

When all else fails, download Zedge, the free ringtone/ alert tone, wallpaper app. It will more than likely have the sound you are looking for. Really easy to use.
