Set Atrix 4G for 3G only

I want to set my AT&T Atrix 4G to only use 3G signal/data. I have done this through Mobile Network Settings > Network Preferences > GSM Only. The "H" still appears as the signal indicator, does that "H" not mean that I am still using HSPA+ and not 3G? Any insight would be great. Thanks!

I should have said that I am running RedPill ROM. I have also noticed that my settings wont save when selecting "use 2G only to save battery". Wonder if it is the ROM or just the Atrix itself.

Technically H+ and 3G use the same technology, H+ is just a newer rev. Unlike true 4G LTE our phones will only do sudo 4G... also known as H+

Edit: Also, I did try and I am also unable to turn on the 2G switch and mine didn't stick either and I'm also running Red Pill CM7
