Set notification sound for contact

I can set a specific ringtone for a contact on my S10+. Is there a way to set a notification sound for a contact, so that the sound will play in my SMS app or others? Thanks.

This is how I do it, there might be other, using the Samsung Messages app. Select the contact, tap on the number to start a text. At the text screen, tap the three dots top right, tap Custom notification to turn on, then again to get the details screen to set sound and others.

Thanks. I know that I can do it with Message+, but I switched to Pulse. In Pulse, I can do the same thing, but the sound goes back to the default if I delete the conversation.

They got rid of where you had an option under contacts for text tone. So now if you add a tone specifically from the messaging app with the 3 dots once you delete the conversation it goes away. I didn't realize with Textra it stays even after deleting the conversation so I switched back to it. I liked the regular app just cause on my 9 Plus I used themes alot and it would match. But I haven't really used themes on this phone and Textra works for me.

Thanks. I'll have to take another look at Textra. I need an SMS app that lets me filter messages based on key words and phrases. Pulse does that well, deleting filtered messages before they show up in the app.
