SetCPU for Thunderbolt

I just did the root and debloat as presented in the stickied threads here (thanks all). Is there a dummy's guy for CPU management? This sounds like I have to flash a custom ROM and do some serious hacking...

Honestly setcpu doesn't save any battery for me. If anything after root and debloat I'm using more battery.

after deleting programs that are using battery and setting profiles on setCPU, im sorry but you would not be using more battery life.

Someone else should see how much mA they're putting on stock then see how much on rooted/debloat/setcpu.

One thing I don't understand. After root, with stock kernel and rom, can I oc the cpu using setcpu? I have it loaded and did the perflock disabler but the max I can do is still the 1024. Anyway to make it go higher without roms kernels and the like?

no you cannot overclock on stock kernel, its set to 1024 max, youd have to flash another kernel

IMO, yes. I have mine set to 245 min, so when it goes to sleep the CPU goes down to 245 mhz...

i have mine set to those numbers as well...just out of curiosity, do you think there are any consequences for keeping it to such low mgz?

get a kernel with smartass and you won't need profiles in setcpu.

To b honest I like setcpu on my phone. It makes me feel as if I'm in control over the device, not just some program.

But I do have a vague understanding what smartass is. Can anybody clarify?...

Smartass? What is it?

It's someone who gives an obviously wrong answer to a question...but that's not important right now. :)
