SetCPU use Caution!

If you have Rooted your phone and have installed a ROM that will allow you to set your own CPU speed...I caution you not to set it to low.

I have done many experiments and if you wish to set the clock speed lower than stock to save on battery power...don't go lower than the following setting.

200mhz - 500mhz Balanced or OnDemand. (is ok)
200mhz max simply doesn't work for this phone.

If you do set yours to 200mhz - 500mhz don't set it on powersaver mode. If you do, you will not be able to unlock your phone after you lock it. You will be forced to take out your battery in order to get your phone to respond to anything.


Now as for you who might be wondering...does 200mhz to 500mhz make the S2 seem slow?....the answer is not really. I don't see much of a real world difference.

I believe it's known not to go below 800mhz "max" or you'll get the sleep of death or something.

I can confirm that you can go down to 500mhz max and have it be stable.

yea you have to flash a new kernel in order to avoid that sleep of death issue.
