Setting default apps

Ok, so I open a video and I'm asked what app I wish to play the video with. I choose, and set to 'always' yet after a couple of days it will ask me again like it's forgotten. This happens with various other files, and is beginning to get annoying.

Anyone else have this issue, or know a fix?

I haven't noticed that exact issue, but I have one similar. The camera app doesn't seem to want to respect the "do not show again" selection for its tips. I think I've seen this in other aspects of the phone tips for other apps too.
