Where is this located? I can't find any settings for this. I thought on the stock launcher you could tap any blank space on the home screen and it would shut off the screen? I have to tap the status bar.

I usually tap in the center but recently it hasn't responded as well.

Stock launcher, Verizon, if I double tap an empty area on the home screen, it turns off.

double tap works for me any non functional space on the home screen or on the status bar. I am on AT&T.

I don't think there is a "setting" for this ... It's just there. It works for me (but not great). To put the phone to sleep double tapping seems to work well, but to wake sometimes it takes 3-4 taps.

Does anyone know where this setting is though? If there is one?

I don't think there is a setting for it. It is on by default. I read an article on the G3 that you could turn it off by going into service menu (punching in a sequence of #). But I cannot find the correct code to get to my AT&T G4 hidden menu.
