Hi, I just switched from the iPhone to the HTC One and I'm attempting to set-up my university email on my new device.
My university provides directions for 4.0.x - http://uits.arizona.edu/sites/defau...id Device (4 0 x Ice Cream Sandwich) v3_0.pdf
But my understanding is that the HTC One runs on 4.1.2 and the directions provided are not working. I don't know if it's because I can't select, "SSL/TLS (Accept All Certificates)." I can only select one or the other.
If someone can help me figure out a solution for the newer version of the OS, that would be super helpful. Thanks a lot.
Additional information:
The university email is technically a Gmail account and I have tried the 4.0.x directions in both Gmail and Other. I have switched between TLS and SSL on both, but I have noticed that SSL automatically provides the correct port number that the directions ask for.
After this post, I tried doing SSL with the port number 143. When I click next I get, "Cannot connect to the mail server to verify your account information. Your server is not responding" with Continue and OK buttons. Once I click continue and follow the directions for the SMTP stuff it doesn't let me continue again.
