Severely scratched home button

My S7 edge home button is terribly scratched. I had to have the silver, UGH!! It is only 8 months old

Had anyone has this issue? Do you have a fix it any suggestions?

Not really. Since it's plastic, it's very easy to scratch and there's not much you can do about it when it does

Is your home button still functional; does your fingerprint sensor work?

It is still functional. I do not use the fingerprint sensor. It is just unsightly ):

When I sent mine in for warranty work for the pink line, they replaced my scratched home button without me asking.

I'm how long did you not have your phone for the Warranty work? How did you start that conversation with Samsung?
