Looks like the SGIII is similar shape and size as the nexus, I wonder if the accessories will work with the Nexus. The port on the bottom seems to be in the exact same place, maybe the desktop dock will be usable - any thoughts??

Also, there are some things that the SGIII has integrated into the touchwiz that look interesting, the gestures, and automated controls, S voice, etc. I wonder if any of these will be made available to us Nexus users. I am doubting it though.

I am unrooted - thinking about rooting, any suggestions on how to do it would be appreciated.

Note - I am good with computers, software, etc, but in no way can read code, or even attempt to do so. I am looking for the easiest way to customize my phone, with the least risk of bricking it possible. Please let me know.

Thanks, :D

I was wondering something similar... the GS3 camera app looks to have a lot of great feature (face recognition, the group albums, burst mode, best pic mode, etc.). What are the changes of getting these features on the Nexus? Anyone have any thoughts?

once the source gets released the DEVs may be able to port it over to the nexus...but who knows really. there is already work being done on a full port of TW ICS to the nexus....not sure how far along it is, but work IS being done.

as for Rooting, http://forums.androidcentral.com/verizon-galaxy-nexus-rooting-roms-hacks/147177-automated-wugs-galaxy-nexus-root-toolkit-v1-3-updated-1-22-a.html
this is the easiest method. just make sure you back up your SD card info as that will be deleted when you unlock the bootloader.
once you get the drivers set up (was the hardest part for me) it literally took about 15 minutes to do. VERY easy.
