SGP Ultra Case available

Aplogies if this has been asked/answered in one of the other case discussions but I haven't seen it if so:

A poster above mentioned that he got the international version of the SGP Neo Hybrid case and it fit pretty well, but has anyone tried the Neo Hybrid EX yet and if so what's the verdict on that one? Fit, not fit? Fit but covers the 2nd mic?

I really like that design but just wondered if anyone had guinnea pig'd it for me yet.

Pretty much all SGP Cases made for international version will fit the AT&T version with the exception of covering the noise canceling mic (top). I'm pretty sure SGP didn't revise their cases for AT&T version, just giving AT&T version the correct screen protector with the international/original case design for SGSII

I ordered the Neo Hybrid EX off Ebay last night. The seller is in Los Angeles and I'm in San Diego so it should arrive quickly. I believe I will have to make my own hole for the top mic.

I am all about bumper cases so I ordered a few cheapies (one black and one orange) off Ebay from this auction.

Here is the orange version from the Ebay auction (picture from the auction).

I of course got the yellow version of the EX. It is dead sexy!

runtohell how do you like the case? and mtucker does the EX provide protection if you drop the phone on the screen or back?

The case feels pretty nice.. but one thing I'm hating is that with a light touch on the power/sleep button.. your phone will turn on/off which isn't good.

Thats disappointing. I was going to get this EXACT case lol. Would you still recommend it?

^^Protection and design, yes. If you're concern about the power button, then no. It might or could be a battery killer. I will find out tomorrow since I received it today.

I ordered the exact same case as runtohell (from the same amazon seller too, i recognize that tissue paper that the case was wrapped in, haha. I love the case, and i feel that the power button while easy to hit, wont be something that gets hit in my pocket at all, its just very tactile button input. I'm a huge fan of this case, it adds plenty of protection and very minimal bulk. I feel confidant that i could drop this case from pocket height and the phone would survive. Its still soft to the touch, it moves in and out of the pockt without catching, and is a bit more grippy in the hand than the naked device.

again, i dont feel that the power button will be an issue.

Does the case extend on the front so if you set it down(or dropped it lol) the screen is set back so not to be damaged?? This is a 2 piece case correct(inner rubber/outer shell)..
Not sure if you can answer this but I hate adding bulk to this phone, I got the Case Mate POP but even though it's not as bulky as other cases it still makes the phone bigger then I like, like the Ultra keeps it small and light.
Some photos of the front and a side by side photos with the phone out of the case looking from eye level so we can see how much larger the phone will be in the case would be GREATLY appreciated!! Funny but the photo runtohell posted with the case side by side with the phone from above makes the case actually looks smaller then the phone :)

It added no bulk, and yes the screen is protected if placed face down. It is a two piece case. Also, i feel it provides just as much protection as the casemate POP case, and is so much slimmer and form fitting. I'll try and get some good photos tomorrow with the DSLR. I dont think it will be hard creating your own hole, the plastic is thin enough. and the rubber is.. rubber. I havent done it yet, but i try to always use my headphones when talking to people anyways.

It gives a lot of protection on the front. The rubber lip comes well above the screen. There is not as much lip on the back, but you can sit it down on a flat surface and not have the camera lens touch.

is it easy to drill your own hole for the noise cancellation mic for this case?
Measure twice, cut once! I used a punch. The small hole is the stock hole and the large hole is the one I added.

I put a mini-review together for the EX version on this page. http://forums.androidcentral.com/t-galaxy-s-ii/124929-cases-available-so-far-6.html#post1337048

mtucker, do you mind to show me what punch do you use?
It is a small handheld punch that we have at work.... nothing fancy. I think a drill would work just fine, but figured I wouldn't have to worry about the bit wondering around with a punch.
It looks a lot like this punch.
