Anyone else had a shadow pop up on their camera? I have one that wasn't there until last month(purchased phone 10/16) and it looks to be something inside the glass or on lens. Funny part is it doesn't have it if I go wide angle. I like the phone(not love) but after my V10 boot looped(fixed under extended warranty, had only a few months left) and this I'm losing faith in LG phones.....

Well, I sent it in to LG for repair and got a response tonight.

They will not fix it, they state it is a "tampered device". Apparently this is what I get for buying an LG V30 after having a V10 for two years and overlooking the boot loop problem to stay with LG. The only thing I have done to this phone is put a case on it, nothing else. My LG's have been the only phones I haven't rooted and rom'ed.

I'll call in the morning and see how they are denying this. Buyers beware of LG at this point....

Wow, that sucks and I really hope they're willing to explain what they mean by 'tampered'. :(

Crossing my fingers!

I had the same issue on my V10 a while back. There was some kind of dust inside the camera lens unit. I tried everything.. shaking, lightly bumping, and just moving it all around in hopes to maybe shake the dust loose, but nothing worked.

I ended up just buying a used replacement camera module off ebay, and replaced it. it was really cheap and easy.
Not sure if its as easy on the V30 though..

I talked with LG today. I asked why they were saying it was tampered with, the lady said the battery wasn't seated correctly. She then asked if I bought it refurbished, I said no, it was brand new on Oct. 16th from an ATT store.

At this point I had to pay $21.60 for their diagnosis for my phone to be sent back to me and I have an $800 phone with no warranty. Thank you LG, your 2 year warranty means nothing.

With the V30 being a glass back it's not as easy unfortunately.
