The USB c connector on the OPT is a wolf in sheep clothing. You may think that you are getting a state-of-the-art connector, but what you are really getting is USB 2.1 technology instead of USB 3 . This is like putting a Ferrari badge on the back of your Yugo and trying to sell it to consumers .They have also claimed to be using a different sd820 than everyone else when in fact everyone is currently using the v2.1 chip. Also no NFC which is fine if you never use it , but as mobile payments gain in popularity just know you will be stuck in the cold.

This company is very shady buyer beware.

I don't see how they are shady. There never claimed it has usb3.0 rather that it has the USB c connector so that its reversible and cannot be put in the wrong way to damage the connector.

I don't see a lot of smartphone companies doing USB 3.0, the connector is larger, not as useful. USB Type-C can actually support 3.1 but its not a given and the OEM has to add that support. So its not shady unless they imply it has USB 3.1 ability when it doesn't.

So if you want a Ferrari but at a Corvette price, then you will get the Corvette as that is what you paid for.
