Shake Them All live wallpaper - 95% of battery?

Hey all,

i never really pay any attention to my battery life, i have chargers everywhere. my wife did a summer stint at best buy and decided to pick me up the 1750 battery they stock, which prompted me to see if its really better
i didnt feel like doing a real test, i just wanted to go on a day to day test: see which battery lasted better throughout the day
today is day 1 with the standard 1500 battery. i unplugged at 805am. its now 308, i'm in the orange (moderate-heavy usage) and when i look at my battery stats, it says:
Shake them all - 95%
Android system - 3%
Cell standby - 2%

how can this be right? i've made phone calls and browsed a lot today, plus texting, emails, news and weather updates, facebook updates.
for those familiar with the theme, the gravity is on 45%, touch response is on with 6 droids on my screen, everything else is off.
can a live wallpaper really kill my battery this much?

I would only think this would happen if there was some problem with the wallpaper not letting your phone sleep. If it was running all the time, it could be a pretty big drain. Did you try switching to one of the stock live wallpapers to see if it was just Shake Them All?

do u think the battery consumption rate i described above is about accurate? moderate to heavy usage, 7 hours later i'm in the orange?

I get about 7 hours of moderate to heavy usage also...using a static wallpaper. So I don't think it's too unusual for you to get that with your live wallpaper, although I'm sure it can only improve battery life if you use a static or stock live wallpaper.

7 hours with heavy usage sounds about right. I get about 14-15 with light to light-moderate usage.

If Shake Them All is using 95% of your resources, you may get a decent improvement in battery life with it off.

i'm gonna run the same standard battery tomorrow with the theme off and compare to today.

That live wallpaper can be dumbed down to reduce battery suckage, or at least I killed off a bunch of stuff on mine. Like accelerometer.

my most recent examination was under the battery saving preset. i've actually abandoned the testing on the live wall paper for a battery test i'm in the middle of performing right now. i'll post all my results when i'm done.
i have a feeling people are more interested in knowing the difference between the 1500 and 1750 more than the theme, lol.
