Shield Advice - Is 16 GB enough?

I am seriously considering a Shield Tablet. But I am very concerned that 16 GB is just not enough storage space. I also am having trouble justifying the jump up to the 32 GB model and pay extra for LTE, which I do not want.

The sd card feature has potential to offset the limited storage capacity, but I am just not too familiar with how this works with various Android games. Do most games support being moved to the sd card? What are everyone's thoughts on 16 GBs? In combination with a large sd card, is this enough space? Or should I just bite the bullet and get the larger one?

Thanks for the advice.

In my experience some games can be moved to SD card and some cannot.

As far as LTE goes, you don't have to use it. It only incurs an extra cost if you activate service with a carrier.

I have the 32 GB LTE version. Didn't want the data radio, some just don't use it. Still better to have the extra storage available.

Thanks for the advice. I think I will plan to get the 32 GB LTE version even though it hurts to spend $100 more for an extra 16 GB of storage. I hope to be using this tablet for at least a couple years and I don't want to feel limited with what I can install on it.

I think you're making the right choice. I had the original Nexus 7 at 16GB and was always running low on memory. Kit Kat limits what you can do with the SD card. With 32 GB, you don't have to worry. Wish it was cheaper though.

Storage is always an issue when it comes to installing and carrying multiple games. But thankfully some game can be moved to sdcard and you can always uninstall games you aren't playing much of and reinstall again at a later date.. Really though I have quite a few games installed on my ST (16gb) and still have plenty of space left.

Myself and others will be interested to hear your thoughts if you follow thru and purchase a SHIELD Tablet. Please come back and share at a later date.
