Shipping time for prepaid SIM?

I ordered a SIM activation kit from T-Mobile's website (to use with their prepaid plans). I ordered it Monday night, and received confirmation that it shipped Tuesday. It says it should arrive in 2-4 business days (so this coming Monday would be the 4th day). However, the UPS website says that the tracking number I was given (by T-Mobile) is not a valid number.

Obviously it's not technically "late" yet, and I realize I'm being a bit impatient... but the fact that the tracking isn't working is frustrating me, and I don't want to have to wait several more days only to find that it got lost somewhere along the way.

Anyone had a similar experience with T-Mobile's shipping? How long did your items take to arrive?

Mine arrived on time (both times). The UPS site is not always accurate/up to date.

It took 20 days for mine to arrive (shipped from KY to Seattle). I received notification within one day of ordering that TMO had shipped it. They use the most cockamamie shipping method I have ever experienced. They call it two day shipping. First they partner with UPS to "create the mailing label". UPS utilizes their own subsidiary, UPS Mail Innovations. UPSMI eventually hands it over to the US Postal Service which eventually makes the delivery. During the entire process, none of the 4 parties (5 if you include yourself) knows where the package actually is. I attempted to contact each one multiple times...they each said I should contact the others for shipping information.

I have a couple of hints for you:

1. Since the link in the original TMO shipping notice email doesn't actually take you to your shipping info, copy the tracking number they give you - it will save time.

2. When you finally get to the page with the UPS tracking number, you must add "92" (no quotes) to the front of the UPS number TMO gives you. They don't tell you that, but that's how it works. On my 3rd call to TMO customer service was when I was told that nugget.

3. Start on day 4 raising a ruckus. TMO online chat was no help (told me to "call UPS"). You cannot contact TMO via email. I actually sent an email to Deutsche Telecom since that was the only email address I could find. I asked them to send me a sim card from Germany as it was probably going to be faster. I went to TMO's Facebook page and gave them the details after two weeks had gone by. After a little back and forth (and many pithy comments from my friends) they "wanted to take it off-line" and handle it privately so my personal information would be protected. I took them at face-value and agreed and they instructed me to set up a T-Force account. After passing me around to 4-5 T-Force people, I got nowhere. On day 20, amazingly, I received my sim card; not from Kentucky, but from their consumer complaint department in New Mexico. I kind of think the email to Germany worked. About three days later I received the original package from Kentucky.

Hey, at least they were free!
