Those lucky few who managed to get the X a week early care to enlighten us as to what comes in the box? There are rumblings on the interwebs that it is also shipping with screen protectors, a car charger and ear buds.

Last I heard it does not have a car charger or ear buds. If that's true this will be the first phone I have purchased that came without earphones. Screen Protectors would be cool!
In all the unboxings I've watched there wasn't any but you can get a good pair of head phones for under 10 bucks at Walmart.

Yeah, that was said at some pres conference, people were going to be able to buy screen protectors on launch day or something.
It only came with the phone, battery and usb cable. No headphones, car charger or screen protector. It comes just like the original droid......no extras.

The box contains...
the X, its battery, battery cover, MicroUSB cable, wall/usb charger (uses the a for metioned MicroUSB cable), 16gig class4 MicroSD card (already inserted in phone, getting started guide, and consumer information guide.
that is all that comes in the retail box.
I heard if you buy the phone at COSTCO you get the ear buds car charger and instant rebate I dont know about the screen protector
Is there a model # on the battery? I'm looking for something that starts with BC/BK/BP or BS.

yes. The local stores I stopped by today to try and get accessories have them in stock but wont sell them until the 15th.
