I have a POCO X6 PRO phone and I'm trying to make a shortcut to screen shot at Google Photos and I can't
Help please (on another phone it did work for me
Welcome to Android Central! Are you saying that you want a homescreen shortcut to open the Screenshots folder in Google Photos? Or a shortcut to open a specific screenshot that's in Google Photos?
I made a shortcut by clicking on Google Photos app and from the window that came up I chose a shortcut
and a shortcut was created for me,
after rebooting the shortcut disappeared and I can't create a new one
(All this because Google Photos didn't open the screenshots folder for me. And the screenshots are in the camera folder, so I decided to make a shortcut to the screenshots folder(
Which launcher are you using -- Poco's stock launcher, or a 3rd party one?
On my Pixel 7 Pro, when using either the stock Pixel Launcher or Nova Launcher, I can long-press the Photos shortcut, then long-press the Screenshots option that shows up in the menu, which will create a shortcut. That's not working for you?
Are you routinely powering the phone off or rebooting the phone? That's typically not necessary (unless you're really trying to preserve battery). I would suggest just putting the screen to sleep when you're not using the phone.
Otherwise, it's most likely a quirk of the phone's launcher. You may want to consider using a 3rd party launcher like Nova.
