Should I be able to enter recovery on an AT&T LG G Flex?

I have been trying to get into recovery (so I can clear the cache partition) on an AT&T LG G Flex. No matter which of the several variations of 2-finger and 3-finger salutes that I have found on the web is working.

It's quite possible that my fingers are too fat, but before I go for elective surgery, can someone confirm that I should be able to get into recovery? The phone is completely stock (other than user-installed apps).

It's been a long time since I've owned a carrier-provided phone, so I'm not sure what to expect.

Thank you.

Are you getting into a "factory reset" screen? If so, that's all the "recovery" the phone has.
Thanks Rukbat. I'm not getting that far, but it's due (I think) to finger issues on my part. Since recovery has no "clear cache partition", how do I do that on this phone?
