Should I buy the Samsung tab s2 or s3?

I am someone who uses my tablet for everything. I don't really use my laptop because I kind of do it all on my tablet. Having said that, I am using the basic tab A 10.1, which struggles quite a lot unless I am simply watching videos. I work for the Church and do all my work on my device. I use it to send emails, write documents, write sermons, preach from, for music when leading worship, making notes, watching films, tv, playing games. I use it for everything. Naturally I want a device that can keep up with all that. I was looking at the s3 but money is not something I have an abundance of. Some people have told me that the only real difference between the two models is the s pen. If this is true then would I be better off going for the far cheaper s2? Will that decide be able to keep up with everything I need it for or should I hold out for the s3?

It's not just the S-Pen, but for the 'basic' user, that will be the most apparent difference. You also have much better speakers, a better screen (albeit not a lot will notice the difference), and a slightly faster processor and added RAM for the S-Pen functions. IF you can live without the 4 speakers and the S-Pen, the price difference might make the S2 a better buy for you. But I'd suggest to REALLY take a look at current S3 offers that have it fairly discounted as well.

Another thing to consider is that the S2 is nearing its 2-year run, which means, given Samsung's track record, that it will probably run out of updates soon.

Tab S2 is actually 2 1/2 years old already, I got mine in the fall of 2015. Personally I doubt it's getting any more software updates but it's still a solid device if the price is right.

Sorry, meant 3 years. Keep forgetting that Sammy spanned 2 years between S Tablets now.
