should I get a Z3 compact or a S2 8.0?

I need an 8 inch tablet, and I'd something that won't be obsolete within the next year. I know that the Z3 compact is older then the S2 8.0, but it has a longer battery life and this would be used s a GPS/music player in my car. So, should I buy a should I get a z3 compact or a s2 8.0? Or maybe something else I might have missed?

It's pretty hard to compare the two, since they're obviously two very different devices. You should ask yourself which would you want more--a very portable device (the Z3 Compact) or a larger device for media consumption and gaming (the Tab S2)?
