Should I get the Moto X 2014?

I am very much aware of the upcoming release of the 2015 version Moto X, yet I have an iPhone 5c that has plenty of issues, and Apple can't seem to find a solution except for replacement. While the phone is not unusable, it is very, VERY annoying, so I would much prefer to just get a new phone (and, as an android fan, an Android one).
So what I'm asking is, should I hold out until they release the new Moto X, or just get last years, despite it's camera quality and slightly outdated hardware?
Thanks
PS: The specific problem with my phone seems to be very difficult to diagnose. It sometimes won't respond to my touch, sometimes it'll respond but in the wrong place, or other times it'll think I'm touching it when I'm really not. The problem is not with the screen; I had it replaced, yet the issue persisted. Nor is it software, as I have updated iOS, and factory reset three times.

Copying my reply from a similar thread:

I think it comes down to how you intend to buy. If you are going to buy off contract I'd buy during a sure to come sale for the 2014 as Motorola clears out stock. The 2015 likely won't be on sale until black Friday at the earliest if history is a guide. If you are using an upgrade it would probably be worth it to wait until Aug/Sept for the 2015.

you couldnt go wrong with a 1st gen moto x XT 1053 while your waiting..

If you need one right now get moto x 2014. No reason to get 2013 unless you can get it for a dirt cheap price.

I would wait for the 2015 version, then you can decide for a 2015 x or a discounted 2014 x

But only if you can see yourself tolerating your current device a little longer

The 2015 probably won't be out for 4-5 months. Just buy the 2014, but wait for a sale, Motorola always seems to be running specials, with heavy discounts.
