Should I Go for the 256GB or 512GB Storage Option on the S25 Ultra?

Hi everyone!

I’m debating whether to get the 256GB or the 512GB storage variant of the Galaxy S25 Ultra. For those who have owned previous Galaxy Ultra models, do you think the extra storage is worth it? Or will the 256GB be more than enough for daily use and media storage?

Depends on how long you gonna keep it and how many pictures and videos you shoot. I went for the 256 G and have 150 G left after transferring stuff from my old phone. I know I will not keep the phone for more than a year so I found 256 G to be enough.

After a year, I have only used 22%. Obviously, it depends on your personal usage. I opted for the 512 at the time as it was a free upgrade. I didn't think I'd ever need that much space, but, those magic words 'free'.

I'll more than likely get an s26 Ultra, as I like the idea of updating after two years.

I have an S24u w/512gb and have had it for a year. I am using 170gb of the 512gb. I am waiting for my AT&T S25U w/512gb to hopefully get shipped early.

Your usage is about the same as mine. Likewise, I'm waiting till next year to update.

I get what you mean, the extra space can definitely come in handy, especially if it’s a free upgrade. I’ll probably go with the 256GB and see how it goes, but the 512GB is tempting!

I don't understand this thinking.. If it's the same price due to a free upgrade then why wouldn't you get the 512? Maybe this free upgrade is not global?

Perhaps the free upgrade is only is the USA. The free upgrade is something I got on two Samsung devices just because it was free.
