I know when I got this a few months ago the windows HTC One m8 wasn't even advertised but got me thinking if I had waited a bit longer and had a choice between Android and windows, should I have gotten windows. So anyone who has a windows phone or had, which is better?

Lol that question is almost comical.. But I do think it's awesome that the HTC M8 is the first to branch out and give consumers choices... What better phone to do it with!

We shouldn't have a Android vs Windows Phone argument, it's not nice. So we need to agree that it is a matter of opinion. If you haven't tried a WP yet, and know no one with one to check up, then you bought the right phone. I had the Lumia 1520, I love WP, but it is missing a few important apps. So I have the M8. Also I like the size of the M8, if and when AT&T carries the M8 for WP I might think about it. But not as a main phone, not until Quicken releases it's WP app.

Should you have waited.....Really?

Are you dissatisfied with your m8 now?

Are you on Verizon now?

Have you used a Windows Phone before?

Do you only run the phone as it comes from the box ?

What part of the WP os do you prefer over Android?

Truthfully..If they ever get a port of 8.1 up and running I'll probably try it again, but I much prefer having the freedom of choice for Android over any of the closed platforms.

I tried it for 6 months with a1520 and can say they can flush Xbox music and video players and Internet Explorer down the toilet. I despise both and all of the other iterations of them......

Honestly...I enjoyed it until forced to use them and it's totally lame to have to constantly have to go through the hassles with them.

Are you bored with Android?

Change it

Don't have something on it that is on a different one...sideload it or root it and get it..

Your wondering wither you should have waited for a different platform, and unless you are sure your really wanting a WP...then you best bet is get a hold of one and try it for a while...If you prefer WP over Android...then yes....you should have waited until it came out....

I've been really interested in the M8 with WP as well. Seems like a great device for those who like WP. I plan on checking one out when AT&T gets their model whenever that may be.

other than not having the same amount of apps vs ios and android windows phone is awesome, I have the m8 with android and want the windows version. I like live tiles better than static icons, and I rarely ever had to reboot the windows phone. I had the nokia 1020 and sold it due to having a 4.5 inch screen. On a side note I personally wasn't dissatisfied with the app selection.
