Should I make the Jump????

Hey gang

I'm currently using and enjoying my HTC 10. However I found a pretty good deal on the one plus 3 for about 370. Should I make the jump! Has anyone else made a similar move? I'd appreciate any thoughts if anyone was in the same boat! The devices seem pretty similar. One Plus obviously a little bigger, but any other key differences I should know about?

Interesting question! The HTC 10 has been about the only other phone released in 2016 to capture my attention mostly due its size, construction and "feel in hand".

Above average audio capability and expandable storage are two noteworthy features that you would be foregoing in moving from the 10 to the 3. You'd also be moving to a lower resolution, (but AMOLED), screen. But if you look around at various reviews you don't find many people complaining about the screen resolution, and the lower res likely contributes to the really good battery life the OP3 gets. Should you jump? Up to you!

Unless there is something in particular you want from the OP3 that the HTC10 isn't doing, I can't see a reason to switch. There is a minor bump in cpu expected soon but that doesn't even seem worthy of considering "upgrading" (I'd call it "switching) from the HTC10 for. The HTC and the OP3 are just too close being from the same generation.

Will also mention, it's not really much of a deal anyway. It's only $30 from list. Depending on what the 3T has to offer, there will definitely be plenty more deals to be had from folks potentially upgrading. Thus you should be able to find some gently used units, probably with a bit of accessories to go along with it for about what you mentioned here. Thus definitely sit tight for another week and see what Oneplus reveals.
