AC Question

I already use android 6.0 MRA58R(nexus 6) and today my friend they use 6.0(nexus5) them were receive an OTA update to 6.0.1
so, I confuse that nexus6 (MRA58R) will receive an OTA update or not??

Thanks bro...

Welcome to Android Central! Always remember that these updates roll out piecemeal, not all at once. I have Nexus 5, an older 2013 Nexus 7, a brand new 2013 Nexus 7 I just bought for a gift, and a brand new Nexus 6P. The 5, 6P, and the older 7 are still on 6.0. But the newer 7 that I just got out of the box and set up suddenly gave me the OTA notification for 6.0.1. I believe it goes by serial number, but it's never quite clear. It definitely has nothing to do with geographic location (i.e., within the country where it's been released).

Another thing to keep in mind is whether or not the device is rooted. If it is rooted, it will not receive OTA updates. It would be necessary to unroot to get the OTA updates. If something like Titanium Backup were used on a rooted device, it is possible to freeze any notification of OTA updates.
