should i root .602 or sbf to froyo

im wanting to root and rom my phone..its completely stock and as a matter of fact i havent even updated yet to the .602 im still on .596, if i was to root .602 is there roms like Apex or Liberty available now for me to put on my phone? or can i just load the old liberty or apex on it? thats all i lack from doing this root and rom on this phone and if somebody could help me id greatly appericate it
