Seeing as all the updates come straight from Google should I even bother rooting it. I rooted my Nexus S and tried out different rom's but always came back to straight Android. So I ask, will you be rooting your GNex and should I ?
Unless you never updated your phone since you got it, you do have to root to be on Jelly Bean atm. If you don't mind waiting though, and don't care for ROMs/kernels, you can probably just stay stock.
Rooting and reversing root is a very easy thing to do on these Nexus devices. I think you're good to go either way. Also if you have a Windows machine there's an app called GNex toolkit v7.2 over on another forum that makes it all very very easy to do.
