Should I switch my more everything plan to the new Verizon plan?

I currently have 2 lines on the more everything plan. It was a promotional plan of 10gb of data for $80. The line access fee is only $15 on this plan vs. $20 on the new plans but I can get 8gb plus 2 bonus gb for $70 on the new plans with carry over data so it's basically the same price. We usually use between 5 and 8gb a month right now but sometimes have gotten close to the 10gb. I could also for $10 more get 12 plus 2gb bonus. That's quite a big jump for $10. Just wondering everyone's opinion of the new plans vs. The old more everything plans. Thanks

I would move to the new plan Unless you have the double data promotion of something special.

My current plan is like 80cents cheaper lol

Cheaper for the same thing of course...

Here you can get a few more gigs for less than a buck more.a no brainer for me. A similar data tier on the old plan would cost significantly more.

It's about 80 cents more for 8gb plus 2gb bonus Data. The bonus Data is for just 24 months, so technically it's 2gb less than my current 10gb. The next one up is 12gb plus 2gb bonus. That would cost $10 more than my current 10gb not just a few cents more.

I thought the bonus 2gb deal is for life not 24 months. I could be wrong but that's what I remember reading online and in my terms.

I did too. I guess if you buy a new device with payments it's for life which I did a few weeks ago but I didn't switch then. This promo is just for changing your plan to the new ones

I took a look at my paperwork and saw no mention of it only being for 24 months. I only saw a start date for the bonus with no end date listed. I should mention I am a newer customer and have never had a contract or monthly phone payment.

I don't know then. I said the same thing you are saying but the lady I was talking to on chat said it was definitely only 24 months. They must be offering me a different promo than what you are on

I thought you were on T-Mobile? Hopped on over to Verizon? :p.

Haha. Yes I did make the switch. I like T-Mobile but we all know the truth. I worked there for almost 3 years. Once I left, I stayed with them until they finally took away my employee discount. It took them 8 months to take it away but the day the day was the day I left. I accepted an offer from the company I interned with and it's a traveling job, so I needed something more reliable for when I start.

I agree -- have to get what works for you. I spend a lot in the same area (99% of the time) and they work so I am good. Plus unlimited since I use a lot so price + unlimited + good where I live wins. If I had to leave due to changing jobs or needed the coverage elsewhere I would swap to Verizon.

I switched to the New Verizon plan. I was on the old More of Everything plan for $40 a month. Plan seemed good with the old DPP discount. With all the changes the new plan saves me a lot of money. I also like the roll over data option. I do wish it would roll over two or three months of unused data, but still one is better than nothing.

The new plan has changed the way I look at phone updates. I would never buy another phone through Verizon or any carrier. Getting locked into the old contracts with a $350 termination fee was not great. Now you get locked into a $1000 fee if you want to leave.

I don't know how the switch plans at T-Mobile and other carriers look now, but when I looked a while ago they all required you to buy new phones. Once you added the cost of buying new phones to any of those plans there was no savings, the monthly bill was going to be quite a bit higher.

I'm looking to switch as well. I'm on the old plan where my phone access is $40. The new ones are $20 which will save me close to $60/month just on that. The plans is 30GB with 6GB bonus data and I'm on a 40GB promo $150 plan. I don't go near 30GB so I can save myself another $20 and I don't have to worry about Mexico and Canada roaming.
