Since I bought my DI I have had WiFi enabled to try and save some battery power and I think this does work but after hearing about the new app that lets anyone hijack your WiFi signal I'm wondering if it is time to turn off WiFi and just depend on 3G?

I usually leave my wifi's on but I on different wifi routers (people I know) thoughout the day.

I am not really worried about any battery drain cant seem to tell it as far as battery life goes.

If I am out of "my wifi zones" then sometimes I turn it off , and sometimes I dont not for the reason you mentioned tho.

But, I would be out of their wifi area before the could hijack my signal since I jett on down the road lol at a good pace . :p so thats not a concern for me.But anyhoo seriously tho I am not a wifi "hotspot" so I dont think they could intercept my wifi signal .

Uh................

Password protect your router??

:p

if i leave it on i would usually just change your advance settings to "off after 15min"

go to settings>wifi network>wifi settings>hit menu>advanced>wifi sleep policy>after 15min.

Are you talking about the Firesheep plugin for Firefox? If so, then you probably don't want to use free/public wifi. Any WPA wifi (that requires a password) is safe to use, whether that be at home or in Starbucks, or wherever.
