Should I update from HTC One M7 to the M8?

1. Please Advise-Update To M8????

I would appreciate advice from you tech-savy people.
I currently own HTC One M7 & am considering purchasing the M8.
Is it worth it?
Also, I would be purchasing used probably off EBay...any advice on which or what not to buy?
I've seen M8 originally Verizon's that have been unlocked to be used on GSM. Is that possible? Should I avoid this like the plague?
Any advice, as I said, is greatly appreciated.
I am so not tech-savy.
By the way, I currently have ATT cuz my M7 was used & unlocked & originally ATT. At the time I had T-Mobile but unable to send pictures so switched to ATT so I switched from T-MOBILE to ATT.
