Should I upgrade the radio?

Ok been a while since I could get on as work is a killer!

But enuff about that... Question; Should I upgrade the radio in mine and my wife's Fascinate? Since I rooted the phones and have been flashing custom ROMs (it's becoming quite the fun activity every week or so to change these phones up completely) I've been using the DJ05 radio. Both phones have worked fine but I'm wondering is there a benefit to upgrading to the DL09 or some other newer radio stack.

Secondly; Any advantage-disadvantage to switching the radio other than some ROMs use one or the other? Just trying to figure the angle on this for reference and advice. Thx for the help. I look forward to more messaging with you all now that my work schedule has slowed down again.

dj05 and dl09 radios are almost the same. the only reaseon to go from dj05 to dl09 is to have dl09.

I gotta say... All the hubbub about FROYO, some of which I participated in (if only to pressure Samsung to be more informative ), it really isn't much different. I do enjoy the considerable speed boost but otherwise... meh.

What about the DL30? I can't find any real differentiator on it from others.

Oops... I meant is the DL30 radio available separately? Should have been more specific. I can't seem to grasp the major differences in these radios and if I need to flash a new one on these phones.

no dl30 radio. you can run it with dj05 or dl3. im running sc 2.7 now. i like it alot. there is also a rom called fascinating or something like that, its really good too. you would use eb01 radio with that.

OK got it. Now I'm a little more clear on this. I appreciate that. I went ahead and downloaded the DL09 radio just in case. And I'm gonna check out that fascinating rom. Thx for help Gunner

Already got it on the desktop. It's been almost 2 weeks since I flashed a new ROM so.... Decisions, decisions
