Shove it

I used to have no trouble charging my phone, but anymore I have to practically shove any USB cable into the charging port and hold it there with pressure in order for it to register that it's charging. Almost like correct contact isn't being made between the cable and the port. Any USB cable I try does the same. Any way to fix it?

"shove any USB cable into the charging port and hold it there with pressure" diagnoses the problem. The charging port went bad and has to be replaced.

I have also had a problem with the charging port, after only a few months. I think it may be a problem with this phone

On another note, because maximum/minimum charging current is governed by the Kernel in boot.img, try reflashing your stock boot image or a custom kernel and see if that fixes the problem.
