Try turning off "Most visited web pages"

The OP pretty clearly stated that his concern is for his bookmarks. Not browsing history, not recently visited pages, etc., etc.

My guess is that he knows how to deal with that stuff. He wants to be able to bookmark sites but not have anyone who picks up his phone see those bookmarks.

As I stated above, the solution is any of several apps that will permit him to maintain a "private stash" of bookmarks not visible anyone else.

You can ways use the secret mode in Samsung's browser. It allows you to browse and it saves and keeps your history secret. You can use your fingerprint or other biometrics to unlock the tab and then you can pick up where you left off.

Exactly! Been using the secure folder and it works great.
