showing status bar in full screen apps?

ok i know you can slide thumb down from very top of the screen to make it appear for a couple of seconds but its very hit and miss.
has anyone perfected the technique?

I know you can do that with launches but not sure about apps that allow that all the time

yeah its an s3 feature. try it on games, youtube vids etc. best way is to start from the bezel and slide down slowly. as i said its tricky and hit+miss. once it appears u can even pull down notifications
