Make sure your volume is on for phone not vibrate or silent.

I hate to ask but just covering all the bases. Do you have any hearing issues? The reason I ask is that it's not that loud sound.

My previous phone, a Samsung Galaxy S5, the camera sounds, including SMILE, are missing from my pixel 3. All the shutter related options are set. What happened?

The smile thing is a Samsung thing. It's never been a part of the regular Google Camera options that I know of.

That's the first option that I learned Pixel does not have. I thought that the shutter options were part of Android not Samsung. I'll settle for the shutter sound to work period.

Okay, so I'm older than most threes and hard of hearing but if I'm in a totally quiet environment I can barely hear the shutter "click". I can see the "blink" but outside taking pictures I hear nothing.

I've finally heard the very faint SHUTTER CLICK. I have all the sound settings at MAX. Is there a way to make the CLICK louder? Thanks.
