The shutter sound may have been instant, but the time to take the picture is still the same. Only a SLR (Single Lens Reflex; DSLR for the Digital/ non-film version) or mirrorless camera has an instant shutter. Phone cameras use the same technology as a "point and shoot" camera, which has a slight delay, usually around half to one second, no matter what price level. Samsung may have just changed the shutter sound timing to be closer to when the picture is really taken so that you know not to move the phone too soon.
